It’s one of the earliest breweries in the state, opening in 2004. The New York Times, CNN, and Travel + Leisure already featured Matanuska Brewing Company as one of the best pubs in Anchorage, and it’s easy to see why.

The brewery is on Seward Highway and is in the middle of downtown Anchorage. It is also close to the campus of the University of Alaska Anchorage.

Because it rose before the majority of buildings in the city, there are no additional buildings around it, and it has lovely views of downtown Anchorage.

Even though their food and drink menus are long and tasty, you should try their quarter-pound beef burger! It’s not enough to say that it makes your mouth water.

If you don’t like burgers, don’t worry: there’s something for everyone, like steak, Alaskan seafood, pizza, and more.

Regarding drinks, Matanuska Brewing Company has a wide range of pale ales, IPAs, and other kinds of beer. It also boasts unique beers, like stouts and porters, which you can try if interested.
